For Sharyn

print Signing options

1. Signature under print

In this example I have signed the print in a 1.5cm margin at the bottom.

I signed a rejected print that had more color along the borders so you could better see the three-sided bleed with 1.5cm bottom border.

2. Signature within work

I signed another trial print within the print itself. In this example the title is off-centre so that it shows up better.

I re-wrote the title a little smaller which I think is better.

I signed this print with title in centre even though it’s a dark area.

You have to stand close in order to see it.

My preference is signing small on a bleed print with title centered regardless of darkness of color but this may defeat the purpose of signing on the front? My other preference is the three sided bleed with 1.5cm space at the bottom. This limitation with this is that my plates aren’t exactly the same size and there may be “off-register” evidence. I am happy to try darker pencil on the bleed print or any other suggestions you have. Thank you!
