Statement
“I love making. I love learning. My practice is multi-disciplinary in nature. Printmaking offers me the intermediary of the press. Screen printing gives me precision and a link to the digital. Clay allows me to work in three dimensional form. Animation brings temporality into my creative practice. Colour, gesture, tactility, physicality, depth, dimension are attributes that guide my practice. I work with the big concepts that I grapple with in my life. Life, loss, memory, chance, choice, opposites…hidden things, private things, secrets…these are the concepts that are capturing my imagination at the moment. I strive to create works that elicit a response from the viewer. It’s important to me that I leave space for others to bring their own contexts into the viewing and meaning-making of my work.” - Marci
