Migration Animation

This film uses recursive action to examine a visual instance of how autobiographic memory combines with topographic memory to create layers of fragmented visual imagery that refer back to memory and afterimage of memory. These images become new memories that, in turn, become segments onto which another layer of recursive action is effected. The speed and complexity with which our minds process spatial and temporal shifts in thoughts and memories disallows us from anchoring down and resolving these images.

Shown through the Print Council of Aotearoa New Zealand in a travelling exhibition entitled Boundless, 2014.
